Motion Palpation and Movement Systems
Throughout our education and continuing studies toward post-graduate degrees, we began to dedicate ourselves to our understanding of the locomotor system and its dysfunctions. Drs. Tohtz and Lotus correlate ideas from experts in complimentary fields of manual therapy and put it to use in the clinic. Both doctors have studied the concepts of Motion Palpation and Movement Systems.

"Brought to the United States in 1981, Motion palpation is a diagnostic technique used by the doctor of chiropractic to locate joint dysfunction within the spinal column and extremities. Motion palpation is now taught in chiropractic colleges throughout the world."

"The name Movement Systems comes from the concept that proper function of the locomotor system is dependent on a series of interactions between the nervous, muscular, fascial, ligamentous and articular systems. They are all interdependent and in order to treat conditions originating from movement dysfunction, tissue injury or tissue irritation, the clinician must understand this interaction and respect that these are all systems of movement."
