Yoga
Yoga means many different things to people. The true definition of this ancient tradition encompasses the developmental union of the body, the mind and the spirit with ultimate reality and release from the limits of the individual ego. The physical vehicle of the asanas (poses) coupled with awareness of movement and self is a natural way of developing qualities such as fitness, discipline, confidence, awareness, intuitiveness and intelligence gradually leaving one contained, more stable and more contented.

Initially, the physical aspect of yoga was developed as a vehicle for meditation. The repertoire of yoga prepared the body, and particularly the nervous system, for stillness, creating the necessary physical strength and stamina that allowed the mind to remain calm. Classes can range from vigorous flow style (vinyasa) to gentle hatha yoga.
